- Rudolf: Who are those people who ride the HSL to Shanghai? That's the rich elite. What is the benefit to ordinary Thais of this very expensive project?

Heartwarming Thai commercial (video)
Thais find certain TV commercials, which we might classify as sentimental, interesting because it shows that your good deeds reflect back on yourself.
Karma is an important concept in Buddhism. Literally translated, it means 'action', 'action' or 'deed' which has consequences for life and subsequent lives through reincarnation. In daily life it is often meant that everything we do, think or say comes back to ourselves.
The Buddha taught the importance of deeds or actions. He taught that there are different types of actions or deeds (karma). The main distinction he makes is the distinction between good deeds and bad deeds. Good deeds lead to good consequences, bad deeds lead to bad consequences. Good deeds include selflessness, love, and the presence of knowledge and understanding.
The message in this video is that you should always believe in the good.

Well made video and pleasant to watch, but what a letdown when it turns out that it is an advertisement of a company that sells life insurance! If there is one sector that is very far from the content in terms of objectives…..
Beautiful video with an equally beautiful message (that you should always believe in the good), I like this, a bit strange perhaps for a boy from the street as they say these days, a boy who grew up in a tough working-class neighborhood in Rotterdam South. But the more of Little House on the Prairie content the better I like it.
Maybe because it shows how things could go in the world, helping each other a little, instead of bashing each other's brains in. It really moves me when I see a picture of a cop in America buying shoes for a bum who has no shoes and is dying of the cold. I also really liked the video that was recently posted here on TB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAqOJPoZTgA
Even when I am in Thailand I try to contribute, as everyone knows, there is also a lot of poverty in Thailand, when I see a mother with her child begging on a footbridge in Bangkok, I will give something, not because I have to, and also not for the outside world, but I just feel good about it.
It's such a shame that my wife warns me about this, watch out because sometimes it's not real.
So again with this film where life insurance is concerned. There is so much not really in the world but that does not alter the fact that the video is very beautiful. I prefer it to that Thai soap opera full of screaming and arguing, murder and manslaughter.
Maybe I'm a sentimental idiot too, but I do find this ad heartwarming.
A very positive example of what we in the West would call “a true Christ”.
So this idea has been in a large part of humanity for a long time.
So apparently you don't have to be a Christian to feel this is "good".
We have more in common than you think....
I saw this commercial for the first time on TV this morning. Heartwarming , even got tears in the eyes .
The dog I have a few and this brown and white one looked just like one of my best friends.
But yes, it is a well-made commercial after all.
Now only open that Yingluck and Suthep , and the rest of the Thai government and chief judges , will also see this commercial .
And no longer to their own , I have always started to think right .
But will work together to help Thailand recover.
But unfortunately this will also be a UTOPIA for the future, I'm afraid.
But the story in the video certainly appeals to me .
Whoever does good, meets good is an old Dutch saying.
I remembered my mother from my youth , but that is not always the case , she also warned me about that .
Jan Beute.
