The meteorological service issued a warning on Friday for residents of 23 provinces. There is a chance of heavy rain and flooding this weekend.

The Thai KNMI says that a monsoon trough will affect the weather in the southern part of the North, Northeast, the Central Plains and the East of Thailand. This can bring widespread heavy rainfall in some areas of these regions.

The people living near slopes and waterways in Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaengpeht, Phitsanulok, Phichit, Phetchabun, Chaiyaphum, Roi Et, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Si Sa Ket, Amnatcharoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi, Prachin Buri, Sakaeo, Nakhon Nayok, Chanthaburi and Trat should prepare for heavy rain and possible flash flooding on Saturday and Sunday.

This afternoon we already had to deal with a heavy downpour of more than an hour, whereby our front and back gardens were largely flooded and according to the weather forecast on my computer for Nakhon Ratchasima, people are predicting all day today rain and thunder. This will remain the same for the next 2 days. Fortunately we are in a higher area here, but the other side of the village center of Dan Khun Thot (which is 5 km from where I live) is much lower and there was already major flooding there last week. If those aren't gone yet, more water-sloping awaits there too.

Also at Jantje in Pasang we finally got our share of the wet Monsoon.
What a water the past two days.
Now we can certainly handle it again, for a whole year.
    Gone drought.

    Greetings Jantje.
