Thai police have sealed off the island of Koh Tao after the discovery of two semi-naked bodies of foreign tourists who were brutally murdered.

All piers of the popular holiday island have been closed and an intensive manhunt has started for the killer(s).

The victims, a 23-year-old woman and a 24-year-old British national, were found with multiple head injuries on a rocky beach. The wounds were probably caused by a hoe found in the immediate vicinity along with bloody clothing.

The police suspect that the woman, who was dressed only in a bikini top, was also raped.

Residents told police there was a beach party on Sunday night with about 50 people, mostly foreigners.

Always get sick of such news, even if you are powerless against it.
After all, the damage has already been done.
Although I know that things like this can happen anywhere, I find it extra painful to read that it has to happen to these poor people in my beloved Thailand.
Hope the perpetrator(s) will not escape punishment.
