The tropical storm, accompanied by severe thunderstorms, wreaked havoc in many provinces, including Bangkok, yesterday. Many homes were damaged and people were injured.

An overview of the incidents:

  • In Sanom (Surin), six houses were completely destroyed and 82 others damaged. The roof flew off 200 houses.
  • Three women were injured when a shuttle van ran into a ditch on Vibhavadi Rangsit road opposite Don Mueang Airport during a severe storm. The driver lost control on the slippery road.
  • In Phetchabun there was significant damage in 52 villages.
  • Ten roofs of homes flew off in a holiday park in Loei.
  • In Sa Kaeo, 58 houses were damaged on Thursday.

The rain is expected to continue for several days.

      There was damage in North Phetchabun … a lamp flew off the pole with me and opposite I saw a barge flying around and it was 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
