The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has launched a new timetable for tourists wishing to travel to Pattaya by train. It is a test with a sprinter who will only drive at the weekend. Yesterday the first train left for Pattaya and Sattahip.

The train stops at the following stations: Makkasan, Klongtan, Hua Mark, Lat Krabang, Hua Takhe, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Sri Racha, Pattaya, Pattaya Floating Market), Yan Sangvararam, Nong Nooch Pattaya Garden and Plutaluang.

The return journey is at 15.50:18.55 PM from Plutaluang and you will arrive back in Bangkok at 170:XNUMX PM. The train ticket for the entire route will cost XNUMX baht.

    Oh so sorry.
    I really liked that bum.
    The speed of the nations.

It is still running for now.
The new train only runs on weekends and public holidays. Until now, nothing was running at all on those days.
The departure time at 06.45 from Bangkok does not seem ideal for many tourists.
I have sometimes considered taking the weekday train from Pattaya to Bangkok, but since I have little else to do in Bangkok, there is nothing else to do than immediately take a bus or taxi back. Unfortunately, this extra train does little to change that.

3 hours on the train with impossible times and that is called a sprinter for say 200 km? Thailand needs to wake up. Letting tourists get up at say 5 am and bring them back mid-afternoon.

For fast connections, it remains to wait until the foothills of the New Silk Road web will have expanded as far as Thailand. Until then it is more of an authentic Thai attraction that no one is interested in. Fortunately, you convinced me, I'm going to do it anyway.
