Police have discovered an illegal slaughterhouse in Bangkok. Men slaughtered protected animals on behalf of a restaurant.

When the police arrived, four butchers were boning a XNUMX-kilogram tiger. Seven men were arrested, writes the German newspaper Die Welt.

The men went to slaughter another tiger, elephants and crocodiles. “We suspect that the slaughterhouse was commissioned by a restaurant,” says Norasak Hemnithi of the police, who are still looking for an eighth man. He would be the owner of the restaurant that features exotic animals on the menu. The detainees admitted that some of the meat was also shipped to China.

The police also found meat from recently slaughtered animals in the refrigerator of the restaurant. It probably concerned tiger meat, but also pieces of elephant, zebra and lion.

The police discovered the case when they arrested a man with bloody hands last weekend. He took the police to the illegal slaughterhouse in a house. The men now face up to four years in prison. According to Die Welt is Thailand a hub for the international trade in protected animals. Thailand is one of thirteen countries where tigers still live in the wild. Their number is estimated at 3.500 worldwide.

A crocodile steak is exotic enough for me. I don't need an elephant or monkey sandwich... Remarkable advertising with this message: "P.O. Box 51: Animal in need, call 144".

If there is a market for it, there is also supply. The police should take stricter action against illegal slaughterers, but also against restaurants that put this on their menu.

Yes, that is true, but you as a tourist do not know what you will be served, even if you have lived there for years or years to come, you have to watch out!
But what about now that people are complaining that you are not allowed to slaughter tigers or other exotic animals for consumption.
What about the PIG, HORSE, COW and CHICKEN, aren't those animals something to think about!

pigs and chickens are born for slaughter because we humans are carnivores. Of course you can think about that for a moment, but that is of course in a completely different ratio than 3500 tigers worldwide. Let's rather eat dog, that will only bother you 😉
