'Thai woman who killed Belgian partner is psychopath'
The lawsuit against Sararat K. (36) has started in Bruges. The Thai is on trial for manslaughter of her partner Marc Clauwaert (47). On August 19, 2010, she stabbed a pair of scissors in his chest in their apartment in Ostend.
Sararat K. met Marc Clauwaert in the spring of 2010 in a massage parlor in Deinze. The woman had financial problems, Marc took pity and they started a relationship. The victim also paid the debts of the Thai. However, the relationship was not a success, a lot of quarreling and disagreement. According to the Thai lady, her boyfriend had a drinking problem.
The couple had spent the evening of the incident together in the Ostend casino. When they got home to their apartment, the two got into another fight. In a skirmish, the woman would have grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the man. According to autopsy, the victim died of a deep stab to the chest. This pierced the aorta and the left atrium of the heart.
The victim himself called an ambulance, but died of his injuries that same night. After this incident, Sararat fled to an ex-boyfriend in Mechelen. There she was arrested the next morning.
The suspected Thai woman had been living in Belgium since 2002. During that period she had twelve different partners and also worked as a prostitute. The Thai also acted aggressively during quarrels during previous relationships and regularly grabbed a knife.
According to research into her mental state, the woman is a psychopath and a danger to society.
