Thai Airways International (THAI) will resume domestic flights between Bangkok and Chiang Mai and between Bangkok and Phuket from December 25, after being suspended for almost nine months due to Covid-19.

The last time THAI flew from the capital to the two tourist provinces was on April 1 this year.

There will be three flights per week (on Friday, Saturday and Sunday) both flight routes and the new schedules will continue until February 28. The flights are operated with a Boeing 777-200ER, with full service on board and miles for Royal Orchid Plus members.

Thailand's national airline previously announced that it would restart international flights from January 1 to March 27. For example, there will be a flight to Frankfurt and London every Friday and a flight to Copenhagen and Sydney on Sunday. THAI will fly to Seoul on Wednesday, to Manila on Thursday, to Taipei on Friday and to Osaka on Saturday.

Flights from Bangkok to Tokyo operate three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday). In addition, there is a daily flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong.
