New protests from the UDD next Saturday

The UDD has announced today that it no longer wants to talk to the Thai government.

The proposed compromise to call elections before the end of the year is not acceptable to the Redshirts.

"We stand by our demand to the government to announce within 15 days the decision that parliament will be dissolved." “The protests will be intensified to put pressure on the government, but we will continue to protest peacefully,” said Jatuporn of the UDD.

Prime Minister Abhisit expressed disappointment in the breakdown of negotiations; “It is a pity that the UDD has rejected the government's offer and they do not want to talk further. The Thai government is still willing to negotiate,” Mr Abhisit said.

The redshirts have announced another large protest for next Saturday. Details of the content of the promotions have not been disclosed.

  1. Thaksin is a bad leader, he divides his own country instead of uniting it.
    keep him out!
