From April 1, 2017, passengers will pay 10% less for minivan passenger transfers from Bangkok.

The relocation of the minivans from the Victory Monument to the three bus stations in the capital has saved money which is then returned to passengers.

The 10 percent discount applies to 114 routes of up to 300 km served by 4.125 vans. The operators spend less money on fuel and no longer have to pay rent for a parking space around the Victory Monument.

The operators are probably less happy with the fare reduction, as passenger numbers have declined since the move. The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Transport acknowledges the problem, but he wants to solve it with more information campaigns. Passengers should know that shuttle buses are now running between the Victory Monument and the three bus stations.

And those shuttle buses between the Victory Monument and the three bus stations compensate for the 10% discount?

It wouldn't surprise me. Give a discount and collect it elsewhere.

That 10% can then be nicely put into a life insurance policy, if you don't want to be sure of life, you get on board the minivan that drives like crazy.
