Phuket police officer killed by colleagues in bar brawl
A police officer in Phuket who tried to intervene during an argument between two other police officers was shot dead, the two quarrelers were injured by the bullets they fired at each other.
The shooting took place outside in front of a pub. Three injured police officers were found, all of whom had gunshot wounds. They were rushed to hospital where one of them died.
It is unclear what the argument was about.

RIP. But you wonder what kind of training these types of people have and how much faster they pick up weapons when it is not about a colleague but about a suspect.
According to Phuket News, the shooting took place at Seahorse circle in Phuket Town, a popular entertainment area. A Phuket Immigration officer, who was working as a security guard at Haophan Restaurant and Pub when a group of 5 men wanted to enter there around midnight. Identification was requested and one person, who was later revealed to be a Kathu police officer, was unable to show any identification and had walked back to his car irritated. The security guard had followed him, after which the officer drew his gun and hit the security guard (the immigration officer) on the head with it, after which he fired a shot into the air. Another officer was eating in the pub and after hearing the gunshot he walked out and walked towards the perpetrator. The officer who walked out was then shot at by the perpetrator and hit in the chest. This officer shot back and hit the perpetrator/agent from Kathu 3 times. The dead cop is the one who walked out. The agents were in civilian clothes.
The police is clearly not your best friend in this case, the lack of discipline shows once again.
Not sure what the fight was about? Most likely for nothing worth killing the other for. Hot-tempered people with long toes.
Yes, a police officer who works as a bouncer or security guard in his spare time, another plainclothes officer, apparently off duty with a firearm. Their presence in a bar where of course the necessary is sacrificed to Bacchus, which will also cause the brain to show some adverse influence. If you do the addition and also consider what the standard police training entails, then you know that this is going to cause problems.
There have been many more incidents and people learn poorly or not at all from these kinds of tragic incidents.
There is a lot wrong in Thailand's society and the police are part of it. It is always waiting for……. yet another case in the news. A fascinating country or more of a sad country, just say it, you can go in any direction with it.
