Tropical storm Nock-Ten killed six people. Three, including two boys, were buried in a landslide, one was electrocuted and two died in the water stream. Six people are missing. On Monday, the storm already claimed one victim.

The storm has flooded large parts of the North and Northeast. Water from northern counties flooded lower areas in the Central Plains. In the village of Ban Phoota (Mae Hong Son), soldiers with heavy equipment are busy clearing mud-buried houses in search of any trapped victims.

In Sukothai, the Yom River overflowed its banks yesterday. The Nan River in Phitsanulok is being closely monitored, because it is also in danger of flooding. The water comes from Uttaradit. The Sirikit and Kwai Noi are closed. In Ayutthaya, four of the six locks of the Rama VI dam have been opened to drain water from the reservoir to the Pa Sak River.

Demissonary Minister Jurin Laksanavit (Public Health) says ten northern and five northeastern provinces with 197.035 people have been affected. More than 29.000 rai of agricultural land is under water.
