Norwegian martial arts specialist kills Brit in Phuket who complained about noise pollution
A Norwegian martial arts specialist (53) killed a Brit during an argument in a hotel in Phuket. He strangled the man after complaining about the noise from the adjacent hotel room of the Norwegian and his wife.
The Briton (34) is said to have had a carving knife with him when he complained at 4 am. The hotel staff had already warned the Norwegian twice about the noise. Reportedly, the Norwegian and his wife were under the influence.
The Briton was on holiday with his wife and their 20-month-old son. He would have injured the Norwegian with the knife, after which he applied a neck clamp. The Brit then suffocated.
The British Embassy helped mother and child return to England. The fighter has been released on bail but his passport has been confiscated.
The British woman denies that her husband had a knife with him. She also says that the Norwegian had entered their room through the balcony, but it took a long time for the hotel security to come and help.

Can't people just take each other into account?!
Very sad…may justice prevail!
just put it on for 10 years. Strangulation with death is murder. If he is unconscious, it will end without death when you open the clamp again. so this is murder
Another standard story that we can see everywhere in the world. Sad example of how humanity treats each other. Apparently a nuisance perpetrator under the influence and a complainant possibly armed with a knife. I'm curious how the crime scene investigation took place. People are not always precise about this. The Norwegian released on bail as a suspect in a murder investigation? ! Wouldn't be my preference, but yes, people are not averse to money.
This terrible drama should not have happened if security had acted accurately . Having a hotel guest at 4 o'clock at night who makes life miserable for other hotel guests with his night noise is not appropriate. If necessary , they should have let the police arrest the Norwegian who was under the influence . The security had already been in that crazy person's room twice, so they should have estimated what meat they had in the tub.
And again I read the word bail.
Usually means here in Thailand, we never see that again.
Can be seen as an example at Yingluck and Boss van redbull and son of Mrs Duisenberg.
Jan Beute
bail means travel abroad and a new car for those who let him go.
bail for someone who has laundered money abroad (not in Thailand) does not exist because confiscated houses and cars and goods yield more.
in this country you are at the mercy of the person on duty
if you get into trouble at the end of the month a bail is gladly accepted as a supplement because a murder of a farang will worry him.
I am glad that I live in a small village in the isaan far away from all this misery.
Dear John, do you really think that nothing ever happens in small villages in Thailand.
I also live in a small village in the Lamphun province, but believe me there is enough going on here.
My ega's niece and friend were arrested six months ago during a police check in Chiangmai with a car full of ice.
Were on their way home after visiting the big boss and on to the local kladizie and there is enough.
He is now 25 years sentence behind bars she has a bail of 2 million, which of course no one wants and can pay and certainly not me.
She too, awaiting verdict, has not been seen for 6 months and is in Chiangmai on water and bread.
Last year shooting in our village police also shot an ice jaba dealer to the eternal travel fields.
So even here in a small village there is sometimes life in the brewery, otherwise it is so boring.
Jan Beute.
