As a New Year's gift, the Thai government will compensate the minima for water and electricity this year.

It is not yet clear whether this concession only applies to Bangkok or to the entire country. Target group are people who earn less than 100.000 baht per year. To be eligible, you must register. So far, 8 million Thai have done so.

A nice idea because it can also be done for the minima in the Netherlands.
Which political party sticks its neck out?

    Good for the upcoming elections!

Given the fact that electricity is almost 20% more expensive this year than in 2015, it will be possible, I think.

Let's call it a kilowatt hour from your own meter, instead of a cigar from your own box.

Does anyone know how to register? The article is very vague about that.
    Thank you in advance.

Registration will probably have to be done on the Amphur.
