From Monday, two new bus routes will open from central Bangkok to Don Mueang International Airport. For only 30 baht you can board at Lumphini Park downtown and Sanam Luang (the old quarter). The new bus lines are therefore a lot cheaper than the Airport Limo Bus service, which can be booked online for 150 baht per person.

The A3 bus line stops at Lumphini Park, Ratchaprasong, Pratunam and Din Daeng before taking the highway towards the airport. The A4 bus line runs between the airport and Sanam Luang (Royal Grounds) en route with stops at Khaosan Road, Democracy Monument, Phanfa Bridge, Lan Luang, Yommarat, Tha Prachan and Tha Chang.

The new bus service comes two years after the introduction of bus routes between the Bangkok Bus Terminal (A1) and Victory Monument (A2).

The service will start on May 1 and buses will run daily from 7.00 a.m. to 23.00 p.m. At Don Mueang Airport, you will find the buses outside at Exit No. 6 (Terminal 1) and at Exit No. 12 (Terminal 2).

Have people arrived on Don Mueang recently?
I can still remember when I came from Cambodia two years ago and then it was a drama to get away from the airport, the waiting time for a public taxi was over two hours….
