A Dutch man was arrested in Pattaya for the murder of a Swiss man a month ago. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that 38-year-old Ronnie W. from The Hague has been detained and will probably be extradited.

The Dutchman (see photo on the right) was arrested after an international search notice was issued against him.

The victim is 62-year-old Fredy Künzle (see photo above), operator of a museum with mechanical musical instruments, including music boxes and player pianos. He was found dead on May 4 at his home in Lichtensteig, in the canton of Sankt Gallen. He appeared to have been killed by violence.

The Dutchman helped Künzle at the time of the murder in his museum and with odd jobs in his house. He was passing through and wanted to stay with the victim for a few weeks.

Künzle was a well-known person in the area where he lived. This summer he would celebrate the 40th anniversary of his museum.
