Three Europeans, including a 46-year-old Dutchman and three Thais, were arrested this morning in Pattaya. They are suspected of producing and distributing pornographic videos and live webcam sex shows, Pattaya One writes.
Police Chief Katcha held a press conference at Nongprue Police Station after the arrest. The press also got to see the suspects. A 46-year-old Dutchman, a 32-year-old man from Slovenia and a 27-year-old woman from Austria. Police also seized a number of sex toys and video equipment.
Porn website
Thai police obtained a search warrant after information on a porn website. When the police visited the home address in question, the police found a studio for making videos and a live webcam sex show. The arrested Austrian woman was recording a show at the time. The three Thai ladies present could be identified as participants in the porn videos.
Drugs
The police also found three grams of hard drugs (methamphetamine) in the building. All suspects will therefore have to undergo a mandatory drug test.
The website in question was operated from the United States and the detainees claimed that they were paid by international wire transfer from the US. The suspects will have to answer to court for various offenses related to the production and distribution of pornographic material. This is strictly prohibited in Thailand. The arrested foreigners claim not to be aware of this and believed that they were not doing anything criminal.
Doesn't look rosy for the trio I think, not so much because of the spread of pornographic material but because of the finding of hard drugs because the smallest amount can already have bad consequences in Thailand.
Very strange combination of porn and then methamphetamine. But it will not be the first time that the enforcers can put extra pressure on the suspects by suddenly finding drugs. Let them drop the drug charges if they confess to the pornography!!!

Where porn is involved, the drugs are usually never far away.
I think those worlds complement each other.
That there is sometimes "help" to prove the possession of drugs, no one will deny, but it may also have simply been present.
