The Moon overflowed its banks yesterday after two overflowing water reservoirs overflowed. As a result, the Ban Nong Bua residential community in Nakhon Ratchasima province was flooded. Twenty families had to run because of the water that reached a height of 1,5 meters.

Two other large water reservoirs in the province were also at the end of their tether and overflowed. The only reservoir that can still collect rainwater is Lam Takhong in Sikhiu district. That stands for 90,8 percent full. The capacity of this reservoir is 314 million cubic meters of water.

In Phimai district, vendors from the flooded Muang Mai Phimai market are temporarily continuing their trade on both sides of the Phimai-Chakkarat road. The ribbon of almost a kilometer obstructs the flow of traffic. The market area is under 40 cm of water, also from the Moon.

The 11 weir doors of the Phimai dam were opened yesterday to drain the water from the reservoir, which was rising rapidly. 29 million water is discharged every day.
