A Japanese tourist was involved in a serious accident while diving on Thursday, her leg was hit by the propeller of a boat from which she jumped.

The woman was part of a group diving at the Similan Islands in Phang Nga. First aid was of no avail because the injuries were too serious.

An initial investigation showed that the sea currents and waves were very strong when the woman jumped into the water. She ended up under the boat and hit by the propeller.

The company that organized the diving trip and the insurance company pay 1 million baht to the relatives.

The company should have canceled the diving trip. They go wrong here three times , strong current , high waves and running engine . What kind of fools are they ? Close that trade

I highly doubt the quality of starter motors here in Thailand.
They also let a car idle for an hour.

That they thus put the environment in the diesel smoke… so what?
I'm comfortable in the air conditioning, and that's what it's all about!

So it was apparently irresponsible to dive in that place and under those circumstances at that time. So you can't rely on the "specialists". Another example of how things shouldn't go. Sad for that woman and her family and friends. As a cloth for the bleeding, the family only receives 26.000 euros and that is the end of the matter. To become speechless.

On New Year's Eve, my wife and family took the boat from Chumphon to Koh Nangyuan and Koh Tao. The sea was quite turbulent and at times the boat was moving well. I had never experienced anything like this before, and my worst flight was quiet in comparison. At times, travelers had to rely on plastic bags for vomiting, including myself. Had such an experience for the first time in my life and it is not recommended. I spoke to people on the island who had crossed the island the day before me on the same type of boat, and apparently the situation was even worse. No, they will not easily say that it is irresponsible to go by boat. On the way back I paid a little more for a Catamaran and took a pill. What a difference. However, many people had gotten soaking wet and the (top) deck was not a great place to be because of the rain.

I don't think 25.000 euros will be enough to bring the body back to Japan and pay the other bills.
A withdrawal of this company's license for acting irresponsibly would be better.

You can also decide yourself not to get into the boat, not to dive, not to parasail, etc. It remains a country that does not have the same standards as the Netherlands / Belgium
