On Friday, the massage parlor annex brothel Victoria's Secret Massage in Bangkok was raided, where 113 mostly foreign women offered their sex services.

During the raid, police found three safes, hundreds of thousands of baht and accounts showing that police officers and other officials took bribes to turn a blind eye. Five people were arrested.

The accounts have been turned over to the Anti-Corruption Commission. At least twenty people are suspected of corruption.

Three underage sex workers were found, two from Myanmar and one from China. The women are likely victims of human trafficking and forced into prostitution. Twenty-five women from Myanmar, Laos and one Thai are undergoing a bone examination at the Police General Hospital to determine whether they are underage. The women who are not victims of human trafficking are handed over to Immigration and deported from Thailand.

Deputy Chief Commissioner Srivara also wants investigations into possible links to cross-border human trafficking. A police source says the owner of Victoria's Secret is a woman who owns seven such brothels. DSI deputy head Songsak says police have evidence that the massage parlor is involved in human trafficking. The women are delivered to several brothels in Bangkok and elsewhere in the country.

Five senior officers from Wang Thonglang Police Station have been transferred to an inactive post so that they cannot interfere with the investigation.

According to some sources, some officers used free booze and sexual services, but the police do this sf as nonsense because that is against the law… 555

“I don't think it's real,” deputy station commander Pichai Toontham said, when asked about the records in the ledger. “There's no such [visits], because police are not allowed to do that.”

And in the same article about a raid on a similar brothel Nataree in 2016:

Results of inquiries against other officers implied in the ledger found at the Nataree have been sent to Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission Office, but the outcome has yet to finalized, he said.
“No one was fired or suspended,” Chalermkiat said. “Our part of the investigation is over.”

They drank a glass, took a pee and everything remained as it was.

And the show goes on…It's an open secret…now let's deny it…and organize seminars on corruption. Everything remains as it was and/or worse.

This police response reminds me of Pattaya where the chief commissioner said in an interview, following a major article in an English daily newspaper calling Pattaya the prostitution capital of the world, that this was not the case. There is no prostitution in Pattaya as it is against the law. So it's not there.
Keep it up. Make a law that everyone in Thailand should be happy, and you will only have happy people in Thailand.
There may not be a law that everyone must be rich.

The brown men Come to “cash in” every month in every establishment where illegal activities continue under their blind tolerance enforcement. If they are not paid, strict application of the law follows and the place closes. Everyone has to live, right…

Returned five senior agents to an inactive post.
You hear stories like this more often here in Thailand.
I would put them in an active place , namely in construction .
Mixing cement in the blazing sun.

How come I'm not surprised by this. This is just business. Takes place all over the world. Trade and abuse of people and corrupt cops who get their share of it. They also have to live. Underage prostitutes and their clients who don't care how old they are or whether they work there out of love for the profession. Time and again I have to conclude that a large part of humanity goes for its own convenience and prefers to pay as little as possible for it. So Thailand is a country par excellence to see as a top country. The sex tourists. You probably know them. Boom business. Victoria's secret and what kind of secret you and I know anyway. And then seven of these brothels. Aren't they nice massage parlors?? Where have I heard this more often, this also happens in the Netherlands, but yes that aside.
So 7 x 1300 ladies, roughly 9100 ladies for an organization. That's making money off the backs of the ladies. Hopefully the deportation policy will be done with the necessary caution, because many of the ladies have already been scarred for life and have been transferred to their own national authorities with a special note in their passport (if they have one of course), which can also cause problems. I remember years ago in the Netherlands we had prostitutes from Romania and at that time this country was not yet an EU country. They were deported and upon arrival at the airport in Romania they were immediately received by a special service, which had very close ties with the criminal underworld there, which then used the ladies and also punished them because they had been arrested. Some of them had previously been sent under supervision within the EU to work for criminal gangs again, because that was what they were useful for and the earnings had to continue. It could therefore easily take place in the same way in Asia. Needless to say, these types of scenes do not only take place at the Victoria's Secret brothels, but in the vast majority of the sex industry. My plea for less, less of this kind of hassle often falls on deaf ears, but this once again confirms why it is necessary.
Hopefully the brothel owners and all those responsible, including the corrupt cops, will be arrested and detained for a long time. So that they have time to think about their escapades.
