Prime Minister Prayuth does not believe in superstition or in feng shui (Chinese geomancy). But whoever refurnishes Government House believes in it. So he asked Prayuth about his date and time of birth so that feng shui masters could help with the refurbishment of the government center.

"I didn't tell him because I don't believe in feng shui," says Prayuth. But he must be a bit superstitious, because according to one source he wears a different ring every day that fits the tasks of the day.

Prayuth moves into the office where Prime Minister Yingluck used to hold sway. She sat on a black chair. Prayuth's new chair is brown, the source said. The carpet and sanitary facilities have also been renewed. A set of altar tables with a Buddha image has been placed in Prayuth's office that used to be in his office at the army headquarters. A separate shrine has been placed for deities to protect Government House.

The junta has allocated an amount of 252 million baht for the renovation of the government center. That money will also be used to refurbish the other buildings on the site, such as the Naree Samosorn building, the two command buildings, the Thai Khu Fah building and Ban Phitsanulok. According to the article, the current revamp is the first in decades.

All buildings have been painted yellow. That color brings good luck to people born on Sunday. That's a bonus for Prayuth because he is a Sunday child. All red flowers have been replaced by yellow ones.

The access road to the Thai Khu Fah Building has been repaved. Not because it was worn out, but because Yingluck and other former prime ministers have walked on it.

Prayuth will move into his new office tomorrow at 8.19:9 am. Tomorrow is the ninth day of the ninth month. Thais believe that XNUMX is a lucky number.

Before presiding over the cabinet meeting, Prayuth is going to pay homage to all the sacred images in the Government House. He has instructed the cabinet members not to dress in a Western costume, but in one phra rajathan silk shirt. Prem Tinsulanonda, the current chairman of the Privy Council, started this as prime minister at the time and still wears the shirt every day.

On Thursday, Prayuth said he had been targeted by black magic. So he poured holy water over his head to protect himself from it. When he mentioned this at a meeting of the selection committees for the National Reform Council, he took it lightly and joked: 'I used so much water I was shivering all over. I think I'm getting a cold now.'

Crooked but also amusing that the honorable Prime Minister Prayuth does not believe in superstition or feng shui but does believe in black magic if I have understood/read it correctly.
No one will blame me for being skeptical that a western costume is taboo because the items of clothing mentioned, a phra rajathan shirt or a jacket with the raj pattern, are the only way to protect yourself against black magic. (https://www.thailandblog.nl/nieuws/nieuws-uit-thailand-5-september-2014/)
It should also be clear that I am no less skeptical about the actual existence of black magic.

Will the (fanatic) farang supporters of Prayuth cs who regularly take up this position on this blog for him and his policy from now on also dress like this and when one feels a pain to label it as black magic?
Questions, questions, although the cynicism in me seems to know the answer.

You wouldn't want to be seen in a Phra Rajathan shirt. Oops, I now have to be very careful not to be overcome by magical powers and I also don't have holy water nearby...

Reading all that, I get the impression that that black magic is already working on him...(wink!)

In other words, no less clownish than the previous governments, indeed nothing new under the Thai sun, but sporting that you confirm that once again.
