A 49-year-old Australian man was arrested in the Muak Lek district of Saraburi province on Tuesday for offering sex cruises with prostitutes on a Facebook page.

On December 6 last year, Steven Allan C. posted an ad on his Facebook account promoting his company, AUSTHAI Tours. Those interested could book a six-hour excursion. That was a chartered boat trip with prostitutes on board for a price between 38.000 and 50.000 baht. An undercover action by the police ensured that Steven could be regarded as a suspect. After an arrest warrant, the Australian fled from Pattaya to Saraburi.

The man is charged with inciting prostitution and violating the computer crime law by publishing pornographic material online. It also turned out that he did not have a work permit and his visa had expired.

A "slippery" man who brings down Thailand's reputation in favor of his own gain. Good thing he was arrested.

If everyone in Thailand who earns something from prostitution were arrested, I think it would become very quiet in certain places. What is the difference with openly operating and advertising escort companies - other than the place of 'action' being a boat in one case and a hotel room in the other?

He probably didn't have a work permit. 🙂

Haha, that was already written. That with no work permit. I hadn't read the story all the way through.
