Instant noodles, chicken, pork, eggs, etc.: there is no shortage of products, the relevant companies assure.

There will also be no price increases, although transport costs have increased. But the companies are struggling with a logistical problem, as a result of which 30 percent fewer products are available.

The Betagro Group has a sufficient stock of chickens, pork and eggs. Ten thousand trucks are ready to transport them. “We want the government to clear up the roads,” says Vice President Nopporn Vayuchote. 'Distribution cannot be carried out without roads.'

ภาษาไทย President Foods Plc, known for Mama instant noodles, is not affected by the water. Production has increased by 50 percent in the past two weeks to 5,4 million packages a day.

The export of fish and shrimps will probably decrease because many farms have been destroyed.

    Just kidding??
Was at Tesco lotus in Chonburi last Saturday and there you see a lot of empty shelves. No Mama, no water, no rice, no sugar, no canned fish, etc.
Went to the wholesaler this afternoon to get stuff for our store and there it was about the same story. Only had 1/3 of what we needed.
No price increase ??? Again a joke. Normally a bottle of water of 1.5 liters costs 11 bath. here are trucks along the road to sell water and indeed no price increase. Another 11 bath for a bottle of water, but one of 1 liter! Shall we then appropriately call it water lowering ???
