Both the owner and the manager of massage parlor annex brothel 'Nataree' have fled from the police. They are wanted for fourteen offenses such as commercial sexual exploitation of minors, providing the opportunity for prostitution and sheltering illegal migrants. A Thai court on Tuesday approved their arrest warrant.

Chayut Marayat, deputy chief of police in Bangkok, said that the owner used a boss to stay out of harm's way. The permit for the company is in the name of the manager, who also took the stroller.

The massage parlor, located on Ratchadaphisek Road, was raided by police on June 7 following a tip-off. The agents arrested 121 prostitutes, including 77 illegal foreign women from Myanmar and a few minors. The cash book showed that the company paid a lot to officials and police officers in order to be left alone.

After the raid, five employees were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking and sheltering illegal migrants.

It is understandable to everyone that human trafficking and sheltering illegal foreigners should be punished. Only I doubt whether the corrupt civil servants and police officers who made good money are prosecuted with the same intensity. Here one corrupt person often has to check the other, so that hypocrisy cannot be topped.

And the police officers and other civil servants who looked the other way here for payment, they go to an "inactive function" as it is so nicely called. Prosecution and or a conviction of these types of rip-offs / profiteers rarely follow.

The real perpetrators are gone. The victims are convicted and/or deported.

Today, the immigration service reports that the two wanted men are still in Thailand. That is because they did not leave the country via one of the official routes and with their own passport, I think quickly. Apparently the Immigration Department has never heard of illegal ways to leave Thailand (thousands can tell you how to do it) and never heard of fake passports (which I really can't imagine)

And what happens to those officials and agents?
