Russian tourists dead and injured in bus crash
An accident involving a bus carrying Russian tourists in Thailand killed one of them on Friday. In addition, 32 Russians were wounded.
The bus was on its way from Pattaya in the east to an elephant village in the Sai Yok district in the west of the country. The driver, who does not know the area well, lost control of the wheel, after which the vehicle skidded off the road and ended up upside down on the lower verge.
In addition to the driver and an interpreter, there were 41 Russian tourists on the bus. A woman died. Twelve of the injured, including a boy, are in serious condition.
