Thais can go for a DNA test at the Central Institute of Forensic Science from next month. Until now, this service was only accessible to police, prosecutors and judges.

In June the service is free. Thai people who need legal help and have a low income are given priority.

You can go there for a DNA paternity test, but also for examining documents for their authenticity and drug tests. As of July, a fee will be charged that starts at 1.000 baht and can reach 50.000 baht for complicated documents.
