Restaurants in Thailand will probably be allowed to extend their opening hours to midnight this week, now until 21.00 p.m. This is part of the relaxation of the Covid-19 restrictions, which should give companies and entrepreneurs more breathing space.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Anutin Charnvirakul, announced this today, responding to a call from the Thai Restaurant Association, which has called for the opening hours to be extended to 23.00 p.m.

The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) is likely to agree Friday to ease a series of Covid-19 restrictions. Anutin emphasizes that alcoholic beverages will still be banned in restaurants.

much more was possible. But that has yet to be approved. Schools are allowed to open. The four or five red-colored provinces, chonbury, rayong, chantaburi, Trat will be accessible again.

Most presidents of Thai universities will leave the decision to switch from online to on site from next Monday to the dean of the relevant faculty. He can then decide independently on the basis of location, total numbers of students and per class, home address of the student whether on-site is possible and responsible again.
I have to admit that I long for on-site teaching again (so are the students, by the way) because the quality of online teaching is not guaranteed, apart from legal matters such as forcing students to open their camera (invasion of privacy) or online classes in their entirety ( sound and image) without their permission. The Thai education authorities are not very concerned about this.

Still a very striking relaxation of opening hours restaurants. At first you could apparently only infect each other there after 21.00 p.m. and now only after 24.00 a.m.

What scientific basis would this be based on?
