Suspicions that the bomb attack at the Erawan shrine (pictured) in August was revenge for the deportation of Uyghurs from Thailand to China have been strengthened by the arrest of a Uyghur in Indonesia. Thailand denied that connection, probably because the expulsion of the Uighurs was strongly criticized by the international community.

A Uyghur was arrested in Jakarta on Wednesday. He was, according to police, possibly involved in the Bangkok bombing, which killed 20 people and injured 130, mostly Chinese tourists. The man named Ali has been mentioned by the police before. He fled shortly after the bombing.

According to an Indonesian source, he and two others entered the country as an asylum seeker two months ago. The two others are still fugitives.

The Thai police will ask Indonesia for further information. According to the chief of the national police in Indonesia, Ali was trained to serve as a suicide bomber. The Indonesian police tracked him down through the arrest of an Indonesian who has ties to Indonesian Syria travelers who want to join IS.

I thought the involvement of the Uighurs was clear. Anyone who still doubts this is not clear in the upper room. Other interests play a role. There are quite a few of these types of people around that we must continue to keep ourselves fully accountable for. Hopefully we never encounter them in a crazy mood. The excesses of faith, we will hear about them often. In the meantime, we wish each other all the best in these days and for the time to come. However, many people will have to deal with these disturbed people and will not be heard for these wishes. Yet many people continue to believe and this group is also very naive and not of the present. It is time for their God to take action, other than listening to messages from the Pope, who believes that sobriety is appropriate. I wonder what he is doing in the Vatican as an example of decadent life. Just taking to the streets and setting a good example of what he did early on appeals more to me. And so the drama of life continues and we are far from done with terrorism. Dear people, the soap opera continues!!!!!!

    My thinking is as follows.
If Thailand hadn't sent the Oeighen group back to China (Prayuth's boyfriend) at the time, but instead to Turkey, there would have been no attack in Bangkok at all.
And if the furniture and the windows of the Thai consulate in Ankara were still intact .
Thanks to the popular anger that arose at the time , I can still see the images on TV .
A similar effect is now also happening with the two Burmese prisoners sentenced to death, suspected of the murder of an English couple on Ka Tao Island.
Tensions are already slowly rising in Myanmar, see this daily on Thai TV news. Increasing demonstrations at the Thai embassy in Yangoon.
And warnings from the Thai government for their nationals residing in Myanmar.
Yes, everyone here is doing a good job of making a mess of it.
How was it again wish everyone a happy 2016 , I personally see it gloomy in the coming year .
And that applies not only to Southeast Asia but also to Europe.

The Uighur man arrested in Indonesia had nothing to do with the August bombing of Bangkok's Erawan Shrine. The theory that it was an act of revenge for the deportation of Uighur refugees to China is therefore called into question.
The man is one of ten suspects arrested in Java on Wednesday on suspicion of links to the Mujahideen movement. The suggestion of the Erawan connection was made by Jakarta Globe Online, after which Thai police contacted Interpol to verify the report. The man turned out not to be a Uighur, but a Chinese.
