The cinemas in Thailand can open again from Monday, but strict rules apply. Cinemas must leave three seats free between individual visitors or couples.

The seats in the rows before and after must remain diagonally unoccupied. Eating and drinking is not allowed, wearing a face mask is mandatory, the temperature of visitors is measured upon entry.

Consumptions may be sold outside the venue, where the same social distancing rules apply as for restaurants. The hall is disinfected after each performance.

Health officials check the air conditioning and ventilation system.

Good to read this and we will use it again next week. As old of days, we have discounts with the cinema pass, so that the price never exceeds 100 to 120 baht per ticket. So for the retired Jan Modaal, who regularly has to say no, this is perfectly doable.

It may be good to realize that closed spaces such as cinemas and boxing stadiums without adequate ventilation are THE hotspots where the virus can easily spend hours and therefore has time to be transmitted.
