Drivers in public transport, including bus drivers, who are suspected of drinking alcohol will be banned from driving for the period during the turn of the year. This driving ban applies to 61 places in the country, where many accidents occur.

Minister Arkhom of Transport announced this yesterday. The ministry wants to reduce the number of road deaths and injuries by 5 percent this year. Maximum precautions are taken for this for three weeks before, during and after the turn of the year.

Last year, 304 people died in traffic during the so-called 'Seven Dangerous Days', 29 percent more than a year earlier. The new approach is called the 7-7-7 policy.

777 what a nice policy, wouldn't it be better to carry out checks all year round with more police on the road. I call that 10 10 10

Yes, there is still work to be done here, there should be more police checks. Just take how many mopeds there are without rear lights when it is dark! That they tackle it, put the moped aside until the lighting is restored, those checks can also be done during the day, which means that the rear light as well as the front light must always work.

And the rest of the year those people can drive drunk!

The checks are of no use, after being inspected (officially or otherwise) you can often continue driving. No helmet on? no problem, after paying you can just continue driving. No one learns anything this way.

If so, make sure that the controlling officers do not check their own city village. The Thai may then drive on and slide the Farang and then also drive on…. Btw all the accidents that happen because of pep drinks just to make so many kilometers and stay awake….
