The first day that vulnerable residents of Bangkok could register for a Covid-19 vaccination has passed successfully, more than 1 million Thai people are taking advantage of this opportunity.

According to Governor Aswin Kwanmuang, the first group of residents of the capital can register in three ways: through the website of “Thai Ruamjai Safe Bangkok” system, the mobile application Paotang and personal registration at major supermarket chain such as 7-Eleven.

Vaccination registration through the Thai Ruamjai system is allowed for any Thai citizen between the ages of 18 and 59, residing in the Bangkok area. One must have at least one of the seven listed chronic diseases. Those who register through the Thai Ruamjai system can get a vaccination at 25 (non-hospital) vaccination centers such as the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, The Street Ratchada, Central Ladprao and the SCG Headquarters vaccination center.

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission, with three major mobile phone operators - AIS, True Move and Dtac - also started offering services for Covid-19 registration via its 1516 hotline on Thursday.

The first shot for this group will be administered on June 7 at a central vaccination center in Bang Sue Grand Station.

    Good morning

    But which vaccine is given?

Hello Gerard, I understand that it is Astra Zeneca. Many people don't want that. The government also does not warn about this vaccine. Regards Pada

I think it would be better for the government to warn about the risk of thrombosis with smoking, alcohol abuse and an unhealthy diet.

Sinovac or AstraZeneca 🙂 There is not (yet) anything else. The whole vaccination plan is a BIG FAIL to this point and information changes daily or even more often. Latest reports indicate that less than 4% of the population has been vaccinated, so it can become a multi-year plan anyway 🙂

All municipal employees in my Isan village in Korat were vaccinated today with the Chinese SINOPHARM. And I thought this vaccine was not yet approved in Thailand. The photo on Facebook of a friend with the packaging in hand does not lie.

          Sinopharm is approved in Thailand.

That's right Fred. I hadn't read the Bangkok Post yet. But admit it, they were quick here in the village. Approved on May 28 and already used on the same day. Foreknowledge for sure.
