The premium for CZ's basic insurance (Zorg-op-Maatpolis) will increase by €8,55 per month, bringing it to €124,80. This is an increase of 7,4% compared to last year's premium. A premium based on the actual healthcare costs would be higher. But because of the use of € 97 million from the reserves, CZ can offer a premium that is € 2,75 per month below the cost price.

CZ is the third largest health insurer in the Netherlands and operates nationwide. By deploying reserves, CZ has offered a premium below cost in recent years. Part of the reserves has also been used this year to dampen the increase in the premium. The ability to deploy reserves decreases. The moment that CZ has to offer a cost-covering premium is approaching.

Wim van der Meeren, chairman of the board of CZ, expects a large increase in the premium in the coming years: “Keeping healthcare affordable will be a difficult job”.

Wouldn't be a problem if my income would also increase by 7.6%, what do you mean we are all improving???

Yes, we are improving and that is why we have to pay more for everything, because everything is becoming more expensive, such as the salaries and lump sum payments for the directors of the now 49 health insurers.
Before I was born there was only 1 and that was fine, there was only 1 director and then it was not so with lump sums and salaries of more than 2 euros.
But yes, the VVD thinks market forces are important because then more people can earn good money from us and since we chose these people ourselves, we can't complain about that now.
Fortunately, there is still care allowance and living allowance and child-related budget and I wouldn't know what else, but in any case we can now start all over again and ask for more wages so that we can pay the increased costs.
The only problem is that more has to be paid for everything and those who benefit the most are then again …….

My Ambassador April health insurance will increase from € 393 to € 410,16 per month.

From 2016, this will be an increase of almost 50% in 2019 (indoor insurance only)
But for that money you can live in Thailand!

An income-related insurance premium would provide a fairer distribution.

With an increase of € 95.000 next year, King Alexander would pay a different premium on his benefit than an AOW pensioner who has not had any indexation for 10 years, but increases in costs!
