Residents in the North and Northeast have been warned of tropical storm Pakhar, which could cause heavy rainfall. The Meteorological Department expects the storm to move northwestward through Hainan in China to northern Vietnam at a speed of 25 km/h today and tomorrow.

When Pakhar reaches Vietnam, the North and Northeast will experience heavy rains that could cause flooding. Residents in both regions have been advised to closely monitor the weather forecast and take precautions.

At present, 33 districts in seven provinces are still under water as a result of the two previous storms between July 5 and August 15. The authorities are trying to discharge as much water as possible and help affected residents. Of the 44 provinces that have been flooded, the situation has returned to normal in 39 provinces.
