Thailand's king celebrates his 67th birthday today
Today is Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun or Rama X (Bangkok, July 28, 1952) birthday. He is the son of the much loved and respected King Bhumibol (Rama IX).
The king bears the title Somdet Phra Chao Fah Maha Vajiralongkorn Boroma Orasathirat and is a General in the Thai Army, Admiral of the Navy and Air Chief Marshal in the Air Force, within which he has his own squadron at Don Muang RTAFB in Bangkok.
On May 1, 2019, three days before his coronation, Vajiralongkorn married Suthida Tidjai, a former flight attendant.
According to the Bangkok Post, the king is a 'statesman with a heart of gold', the Thai military has great respect for him and is willing to give their lives for him and the people love him…..
Yesterday, volunteers planted a thousand trees in Vachirabenjatas Park in Chatuchak, Bangkok, to show their devotion to the king. They wear a blue cap and yellow tie and form a kind of volunteer army that performs good deeds under the name of Jit Arsa.
