The government is considering the reopening of 12 types of high-risk businesses and activities. These include pubs and concert halls, soap massage parlors and sports competitions.

Taweesilp Visanuyothin, spokesman for the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, said yesterday that the conditions under which these companies can open are being examined. Representatives from these industries have been invited to discuss measures needed to prevent the spread of the virus. The committee is headed by the Secretary General of the National Security Council.

The upcoming easing of restrictions would also apply to film crews and major film sets, classrooms, visits to care centers for the elderly and national parks. Dr. Taweesilp says measures are also being considered to reopen concert and event halls of more than 20.000 square meters, education-oriented science centers.

Other business categories that could reopen in the final phase include theme parks, water parks, playgrounds, and game stores; meeting rooms for more than 200 participants; pubs, bars and karaoke, saunas and soapy massage parlours.

The Thai government aims to lift the lockdown and the state of emergency by July 1 at the latest. The condition is that the number of new infections remains low.

now the question of 1.000.000, we are welcome from July 1st

    • It is not yet clear when the airport will open for international commercial flights. As soon as this is known, we will report it on Thailandblog.

I booked a delayed flight to the Netherlands on 04/07/2020 with Finnair . Originally this was 30/03. I have the idea that this will continue anyway otherwise I would have received an email when canceling.
So I assume BKK is open. Herman

In today's Thai Enquirer I read that tourists from outside Thailand would only be allowed in once a vaccine is available or they have to be quarantined for 14 days.

No tourist who comes for 3 weeks or a month wants to be quarantined, so if they demand that, no tourists will come.

a vaccine will take some time to come. But 14 days of quarantine and then a longer time in Thailand where there are almost no travel restrictions seems to be doable. All the more so because tourists hardly ever come. Booking a holiday and 14 days of it in isolation does not seem so attractive.

I think it's not on for us July 18, unfortunately
