The Thai government has decided to amend the list of professions prohibited for foreigners. There were 39 professions on the list, but there are now 12 fewer. The decision should solve the shortage of (unskilled) workers. As of July 1, 28 professions are still exclusively reserved for Thai.

Migrants are allowed to perform unskilled work, but that only applies to migrants from countries that have signed an agreement with Thailand. Migrant workers are now allowed to do agricultural work, work in construction, work as cleaners and shoemakers are also allowed.

Added to the list of forbidden professions for foreigners is the work of a Thai traditional masseur.

And does the Netherlands have such an agreement with Thailand?

I do not think so. Unskilled work is mainly done by foreigners from neighboring countries such as Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia.
Besides the fact that there is almost no Dutch person who is unskilled (with our compulsory education), I also do not think that there is a Dutch person who wants to work for the Thai minimum wage (approximately 7-8 Euro per working day). (if the employee already gets it)

Could sometimes be useful for the falang who wants to help his partner or children a bit in the business, if the profession is mentioned.
Then the level of income is not so important

This only applies to people who come from an Asean country. For us ea everything remains the same. Work permit for anything and everything.
