Driving license examination by a Dutch doctor with BIG registration
Be Well regularly receives requests for Dutch driver's license examinations for people over 75. This requires the availability of a Dutch doctor with a BIG registration.
On January 17 and February 4 we organize an opportunity for this examination in our clinic in Hua Hin (Banyan location). The examination is done by a Thai doctor under the supervision of a Dutch doctor with a BIG registration. The Dutch doctor signs the examination report. Patients must take care of the 'paper shop' themselves and will have to bring a form “Examination report; inspection for driver's license 75+”. Be Well only takes care of the inspection and signing. Be Well itself has no experience with the application procedures and cannot answer questions about it.

The costs for the basic examination are THB 2800. If further medical examination is required, there may be additional costs.
Request an appointment preferably by e-mail [email protected] (in English).
I don't really see the need for a Dutch driver's license for someone over 75
I assume they live and drive here and have a Thai driver's license
For the times you go to NL you can drive around in NL with it, fully accepted
However, you cannot have it converted to a Dutch driving licence
Not only people over 75 need to be approved Martin.
Anyone with a physical and/or mental disorder that could form an obstacle to safe participation in traffic must undergo a medical examination. Consider, for example, a 30-year-old with an eye disorder or hearing impairment.
