Reader question: I am looking for a studio in Pattaya
Dear readers,
I want to go to Thailand for two months at the end of this year or early next year. A hotel is priceless to me for such a long period of time.
I am therefore looking for a studio with air conditioning and wifi in Pattaya, from where I can visit other parts of Thailand for a week, for example, while keeping that studio.
I had found one, from 150 to 450 euros per month, but that studio is 10 km outside the center of Pattaya. The idea is to find something close to the center and the sea, so that you do not always need a taxi. I'm a little less mobile, so that would be nice.
The problem is that I have no idea how to look it up, because you can't find any link or site about it.
As far as I understand, most studios or apartments are rented for a longer period, which means that you also have to pay a deposit for a few months.
Can someone who lives in Pattaya give me advice?
Thanks, and best regards.
Rudy
hi Rudi.
I don't know exactly which places you want to visit in Thailand, but Pattaya is not the most central place, even when it comes to transportation to other places in Thailand. I recommend looking for something in Bangkok where the connections to all parts of the country are much better arranged.
I myself live in a condo building where one also has a 'hotel room' for 500-600 baht per day (= 15 Euro). And you also pay such amounts in the guesthouses in Khaosan Road.
THERE IS ENOUGH TO RENT IN PATTAYA FROM 5000 to about 15000 you can rent a studio and in terms of connections from Pattaya you can now also go to all sides of Thailand
hello dick
Hello Rudy,
Try Homelidays, I saw an app. for € 190 pm or Diana Estate Condominium, for approx. € 250 Good luck.
Dickthai :: If you respond to someone's question with the statement that there is enough to rent, it would of course also be nice if you gave the questioner a link or advice on where to get to that studio.
Reacting only that there are enough is of course of no use to Rudy either !!
Hello…
To all the people who have already responded to my question: thank you very much... I am Belgian, not Dutch, to answer some people's questions, but that will make no difference in terms of language, we are neighbors after all.
It's true that what may be a trifle for some can make a huge difference in something you want to do.
I had searched around on various sites, and had to pay € 1550 extra for a hotel room just because I am single, so I came to € 4850 per month, plane included, hotel room with breakfast…
I really can't afford that, I want to go to Thailand for a few months first, to see if I can handle the climate, and then possibly live there.
Easier said than done, of course, if it's not next to your front door, and then "small practical" problems quickly become big if you don't know where to go...
I have already received many practical tips here, which I am very happy with, and I hope to receive more.
I'm going to ask the editors with your approval for your email address, because today I'm a long way from realizing my dream in one day, for which I thank you very much. No one can give better advice than the person on the spot.
I won't be able to manage Christmas and New Year anymore, but when I get to Pattaya, I'll invite you for a beer!
Kind regards, and thanks again!
Rudy
We, my husband and I, did stay in Sanya Apartments.
Nice spacious apartments for little!!
Great location, transport almost at the door.
Every Tuesday and Friday market in front of the door.
Have a look at the site:
http://www.sanya-apartments.com/nl/
Good luck, you will definitely find something!!!
I rented my studio in Jomtien at Trappraya road, Jomtien Plaza. was about 800 THB per day. This is subletting, often those condos are owned by Norwegians, for example. It's a bit hit miss in terms of decor. After 2x I found a nice one with ia LCD TV etc etc and stayed in it.
Then you are just outside Pattaya but very central. The route of the baht bus runs through Trappraya, so you are very quickly in Pattaya center.
http://www.tacs.asia/
They have an office there and you can just walk in there, behind the Flying Dolphins bar.
Dear Rudy,
The address below could be something for you, Dutch owner and reasonably close to the center and with bathbus so in the center and on the beach.
Going November for 3rd time in 2 years

Dear Rudi,
My name is John, and I have lived in Pattaya for 15 years and there is plenty to offer here.
But I don't know when you come to Thailand and how long you want to stay, but if I know then I can look around for you ???
I also have 8 apartments that will be ready for rent in January 2014, which are new construction and are very central and 250 meters from the beach.
There is a swimming pool and a fitness room at this complex and there is also WIFI, and there are plenty of restaurants and other shops within walking distance.
The rental price of these apartments is from 250 euros per month with a one-year contract.
But if you come for a few weeks or months now , I can also help you with a good and safe apartment , where you can leave your things when you travel around Thailand .
If you have any questions, you can email me: [email protected]
Yours sincerely ,
John.
If you come here and spend 2 or 3 days in a hotel in a nice central location, you can take a look around what pattaya has to offer because the range of apartments is very large. Very often they ask for a deposit for the apartment or you have to rent for a minimum number of months. Nice to start with is Coffee and Beer on South pattaya road (just google it) 650 baht per night and very good rooms right in the center, from here you could look for a nice place to stay. I think this is a good way and you don't have to commit to anything before you've seen an apartment with your own eyes
For traveling through Thailand, it just depends on where you want to go, but in general everything goes via Bangkok (with exceptions)…. very handy on Pattaya tai you have minivans that drive you to Bangkok in no time from there you can travel Thailand.

Hello
Dear fellow bloggers, first of all I would like to thank you for your responses… to relieve the editorial burden, I would appreciate it if you could send me your email address, because I still have so many questions… and no one's help is better than that of someone with experience.
Thanks anyway, I've had more help from you today than two months of searching the internet...
And the offer of that beer in Pattaya remains… I trust you will get to know me a nice bar, and then we will have a party in January… everyone welcome, looking forward to it!!!

Dear Rudi,
I own 3 studios in the center of Pattaya, but these new construction projects were only completed at the end of 2014.
Rental prices will be between €400 and €500, everything included (rent, energy, use of all very extensive facilities, etc.).
Good luck with your search in the meantime.
