Dear readers,
I have a question if someone could translate this text into Thai? I want to get the Thai text tattooed on my back! This is in memory of a deceased friend of mine. This is the text:
“Everything that has a beginning has an end. Make peace with that and everything will be fine.”
It is a saying of Buddha.

I also searched Thai-language websites but could not find this quote, although it does reflect the Buddhist philosophy of 'everything is perishable'.

If you want a real quote from the Buddha with this meaning, consult a learned monk. Take the above text with you. I couldn't.
Of course interpret the word 'fake' lightly. The quote certainly feels Buddhist and honors the last. Possibly a monk knows an official quote of a similar nature (although even there one wonders if it was definitely Siddhartha's mouth). What matters is that the quote touches you. But hopefully you appreciate the info around it that helps you put it into context.
I've come up with a shorter and more powerful version with the same content. Sounds better. You must do this one.

Google Translate is often in the right direction, but the translations are not always entirely correct. The grammar and also the vocabulary are sometimes a bit off and occasionally very crooked or laughable texts come out. So nice to broadly translate and understand a text, but for a correct translation you should NOT go to Google Translate.
It strikes me that -however well-intentioned- half of the responses did make use of this. Then you better start pioneering with thai-language.com or use one of the human translations (Fokko, Tino, Frank). If necessary, stop it again as an extra check for writing errors through the build-look up of thai-language:

So I would indeed be very careful before you walk around with a Thai text that does not match your wishes.

-Most of the translations above are well-intentioned, but forget anything that comes from Google Translate, especially if you want to get it tattooed.
-As mentioned above: is this really a quote from the Buddha?
I wouldn't translate it literally anyway, but ask a Thai if he knows a spell with similar meaning in Thai, and preferably a slightly shorter one
-Is this purely for yourself? Most Thais are not really fond of tattoos related to Buddhism. If you do, don't put it anywhere low on your body, like your legs or feet, for God's sake. That is asking for trouble.
-Oh, and find a slightly nicer font than the default type, that's really ugly.
It's actually weird to put a text on your own body that you can't read yourself.
The idea is nice, but you can also put it in English.

Or learn the Thai language, then it will appeal to you even more.

Most of the translations I see here are from google translate. Surprisingly, the text is still in well-written Thai. Nevertheless, the translations are all very literal. If it is indeed an original quote from the Boeeda himself, then I think you will have to look for a quote in Pali. Unfortunately I am not familiar enough with it. Best to ask a Phra Ajarn.
