Who has experience with rescheduling a KLM flight?
Dear readers,
Who has experience with rescheduling a KLM flight? The normal button in the app does not work. Then tried contacting links via Whats app but no confirmation, I've been working on it for 5 days. Then just call, I think, already 109 euros called Simyo. Or no contact or forwarded to a foreign country and then I hear something but very bad line.
It is of course nice that you can change your ticket for free, but if it doesn't work, it won't make much progress.
KLM can see this coming, right? Embassy closed. I arrived on November 24 and my ticket is on December 22. I would prefer a voucher, but if I have to name a date, that's fine too.
I was always a KLM fan, but I'm starting to get a bit discouraged now, it seems that Facebook and IinkedIn can also be used, but I have no experience with that. KLM understands, if you make something for free, you can assume that it will be used more.
I also want to just pay for it or here to a travel agency in Pattaya, but what is wisdom?
Thanks to all readers in advance for your information.
Sincerely,
Peter Yai
Editors: Do you have a question for the readers of Thailandblog? Use it contact form..
It is a drama to reach KLM for this kind of thing. It was already that before corona; waiting several days for a meaningless response to WhatsApp.
Couple of things that can help:
1. Call via Skype, which only costs a few cents per minute
2. If you have Flying Blue level Silver or higher, the app shows a “premium” number (+3120474747): a number of times I only received automatic messages and was hung up. Other times I immediately got someone on the line, in the middle of the night NL time. By the way, I have set number recognition in Skype so that it looks like I'm calling from my Dutch 06: it seems that KLM saw that because they could find my booking right away.
If you can change the flight via the site or app, that's ideal, but if it doesn't work, it's very frustrating. And it's always a surprise whether it works or not.
Succes
That phone number is also incorrect, so it is never answered there, but +3120 474 7747, I just changed my flight to BKK and I had to wait 1 minute.
So call the right number. !
Done a few times. Usually it's easy. If the NL number is busy, try calling Paris. Sometimes it also works through the Bangkok office.
Indeed, unreachable by phone and no answer with Whatsapp, is also my experience.
Go to an internet cafe.
Use a PC, go to the KLM website and use the change or cancel flight option.
or urgently go to a travel agency. You don't have much time.
They may be able to contact KLM Bangkok.
Let us know if it works
Why not use the KLM website?
Go to "My Trip" enter your booking code and name and you can easily rebook and cancel your flight. You can then see the available flights online for the date of your choice and book them directly. Within a few minutes you will have a new ticket in your email box. Keep in mind that the new flight can be more expensive or cheaper, so that will be paid extra or you will receive a voucher for this after 1 week that you can use for a next flight or have it paid out.
A waste of your 109 euros, you can do nicer things with it 🙂
done online last month. Totally no problem, additional cost 65 €
Dear Tony
If it was that easy, I would have done it, it is not possible with the app and klm site !!
Sorry , it is not possible to change this flight online .
This is the text on the app and on the computer again in Orange that is again !!
But anyone who thinks along or knows a good travel agency I'm recommended.
Happy Sunday Peter Yai
Dear Peter,
Strange that you can't change the booking online?
Changed 2 flights for myself from December to January online without any problems.
I would walk into a travel agency myself and explain your problem.
Success.
Search contact public on Facebook and tell your whole story there I immediately had contact via messenger.
You can change for free, but you often have to pay a higher price range. I wanted to change my return flight to Bangkok in business class and had to pay between 800 and 2400 euros extra depending on the date, so I didn't do that, hopefully I'll fly now December 30 back. The whole ticket was 1710 euros return.
'Embassy closed', you write, but what does the Embassy have to do with a ticket change?
Hi,
Also thought the app didn't work but you must, in my case it was, have the return flight.
Or call KLM Bangkok always succeeded.

Jos
Dear Peter
It can be done very easily on the KLM website a few days ago, done within 1 minute, with an additional payment of € 80,00.
Good luck Eric
Do you work with apple (ipad/iPhone) because I have also noticed that the KLM site sometimes has problems with iOS.
Try logging in with a fixed PC with Android
We have already rescheduled our KLM flight to Bangkok 3 times, always without major problems.
We are now flying February 10.
Number of times done with Messenger. Takes a few hours to get an answer but they always respond.
Just rebooked flight.
just call KLM Bangkok.
026100800 from Thailand. Pay with credit card.
Dear Cornelius
I mean or say when I left I could only leave for 30 days there was no embassy or online visa to apply for a longer time.
If you are here you can get a month extra for 4000 without insurance with TikTok visa and without passport photos and copies.
So if you've done that you want to change a ticket right?
Thanks and waiting for more for any info and I'll let you know if it worked or not Mvg.
Peter Yai
Free ticket or not they have to help you
There is another warsau treaty that KLM cannot ignore try to convert your ticket again it does not work buy a single cost KLM
We succeeded via messenger within 2 days
In the end we were well helped, but by phone and via whatts app idd a disaster.
success
g Paul
Dear Peter, changing yourself online is simple and fast. Calling KLM 020-4747747 is very expensive. Call KLM in Thailand or go in person to a travel agency that offers KLM ticketsü
All experiences are very recognizable. In theory, the app and online work well and quickly, but for unclear reasons you can also be referred to the telephone. “Contact us”. Called that number, and then multiple choice menu after a long rumble about the benefits of the app and online... Just happened yesterday: the waiting time is more than 45 minutes, the connection is now broken and again. Very frustrating indeed.
Option of WhatsApp is called. I was chosen DM via Twitter. Waiting five hours for a response, but immediately a useful one. With 2 short messages afterwards it was arranged for free.
For this you must state your name and booking code in your message, of course, and the desired flight. Then they can immediately check it and / or prepare it.
But I have also experienced all the other variants in recent months. Arrange yourself to endless nagging with telephone. The fact that rebooking is free will certainly play a role when it is busy, but even more so the ever-changing rules and restrictions. As a result, a lot has to be changed, by more people than ever before.
.
Dear reader
My ticket has changed !!!! Hi Hi
First tried everything on the computer instead of the iPad then looked at changes on the return journey.
None of this worked.
When Skype was installed, it was a bit of a hassle Simyo had blocked my number as a precaution because of the high costs.
Eventually Skype works called with computer “spoken” and I received a message with a link that did not work.
Then called again and clicked through until the phone remained ringing and showed patience.
After 1 hour and 2 minutes I could reasonably understand an English speaking man on the phone (I have very good internet in my new apartment) and after 10 minutes and 21 seconds my ticket was moved and with my credit card
Paid 126 euros.
I would have preferred a voucher, because what else can happen in the new year? COVID 2022 ?
Thanks to all the posters for their submissions and to all readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
Happy day Peter Yai
Call anyway. It normally takes half an hour before it's your turn, but once you have them on the line you are helped fantastically. Not via WhatsApp, that won't help. Calling and waiting pays off. Unfortunately it is no different.
I fly quite a lot with KLM and regularly change my ticket without any problems, I just do that on the KLM site. Maybe it always goes well with me because I am a Flying blue member……
I've really never had any problems.
Hi , changed online last week , no problem only the extra paid luggage of 70 Euro did not work . So paid again. Do I still need to get it back. But the rest went fast and well. Good luck Joe
