    Hi Ruud,
Just google eg; Honda scooter thailand 2018 or Yamaha scooter thailand price list. etc, etc.
Good luck with the search. Alex

125 cc to 155 cc Honda or Yamaha between 50 and 80 thousand baht. Dirt cheap ivgl with Europe

Scooters in Thailand are all automatic as far as I know. What do you mean by average? A Honda PCX 150 then might be the average between a Honda 125 and a Honda Forza. New it now costs around 95000 baht and second hand is not much cheaper. A 4 year old PCX 150 will soon cost you between 50.000 and 60.000 depending on the condition of that roller. Yamaha is slightly cheaper than Honda.
If you compare the prices with the Netherlands, you will get about 2/3 of the price here. But that too fluctuates.
I would always recommend a class like the Honda PCX or higher. The higher power allows you to get out of dangerous situations faster. You have a choice here: brake or go faster. With the scooters with a low power, you almost only have the option to brake. I'm not saying you have to race like crazy, but that extra power makes it easier to get out of bad situations or not even get into them.

      Dear Jack,

      A used PCX 4 – 5 years old costs an average of 20.000 B.

Depending on the service book and mileage.

      Sorry you got cheated!

Many motorbikes have foot gears, but you can opt for automatic.

By anticipating, you prevent dangerous situations for 90 percent.

        Not really,

Here in Chaing Mei you pay really well over 4 Bhat for a 60.000-year Honda PCX and nowhere cheaper.

        • l.low size says up

Maybe I'll buy the PCXs here and put them on the "market" in Chang Mai for 45.000 B.
Good for the indexation of my pension!

These contraptions are all semi-automatic and prices range between Baht 35,000 and Baht 45,000. depending on what model, cc, kick or electric start, disc brakes or drum brakes, etc. Recently visited a Honda dealer. Cheapest is 110cc, kick start and drum breaks for Baht 35,000-. This is excluding registration, tax and other additional costs.

sorry I really bought a new fully automatic machine for 43.000

TheoS: scooters are fully automatic by definition. The "semi-automatics" you refer to are geared motorcycles with a semi-automatic clutch, so a completely different beast.

We bought a new Honda Moove 2 years ago.
Price then was about 40.000 THB, will probably be a bit higher now.
Slightly cheaper than a Click, but especially easier to find between 1000 Clicks 🙂
I think the engine is 110cc, (just) enough to drag us (3 people, 175 kilos?) to a mudflat on top of a hill.

Bought a Honda PCX 150 last August for 86.000 baht.
Excellent motorbike, sufficient speed and spacious storage compartment under the seat. The latter is especially useful if you want to go shopping with the motorcycle.

    • l.low size says up

If you forget to fold up the stand, the motorbike will not start!
      Also very handy

Well, why spend so much money? I lived in Chiangmai for 13 years and bought second hand scooters.
Honda click was good. Also don't buy too cheap and demand a warranty for at least one month.
Price between 20.000 and 30.000 baht.

With these 2nd hand motorcycles, the clock has been around at least once, which you cannot see. My son's Honda Wave, the clock is at 1-. At 24000 the counter just started again at 100000. So he drove 1 km with that thing, but you see 124000 km. Will then be sold as good as new on the 24000nd hand market or you must first look in the registration book. There is also something to mess with. The book is reported as missing and a new one is requested and only the name of the current owner is entered with the date of issue of the book. There are several tricks. Buy @e hands in Thailand? Know what you're doing. TIT.

    Hello Ruud,
We have a Yamaha 'Filano' 125 cc, fully automatic. There is room for a lot of luggage or 2 large helmets under the extra large and wide saddle. Th Bth 52.000.=

If you have no moped or motorcycle experience in Thailand, I recommend renting a period first.
From 150 baht per day you can then personally experience whether it is that you really want.

You can therefore drive different types before you decide to buy. A test drive is not the same as having driven every type for a few weeks.

I myself have a Honda Click 125cc and a Yamaha Aerox 155cc to replace a Honda PCX 150cc.
The Yamaha is by far the sharpest in the smaller moped market.

Also don't forget that you must have a motorcycle driving license and an international driving license or a Thai driving license for the scooter / moped with the ANWB.

Ruud, it is wise to look at what you need him for.
Are you going to use it daily for your transport, groceries, or do you need it next to your car for trips in the neighborhood?
Last year I bought a beautiful 2nd hand Yamaha for Thb 10.000, the offer is large because many Thais can no longer meet their payment obligations.

I bought a brand new Honda Click 2 in Nakhon Sawan 125 years ago for 43.000 Baht. My wife's Thai cousin did the negotiation so they didn't know it was a farang.
