When do you have to quarantine in Thailand if you come into contact with an infected person?
Dear readers,
What exactly about when to quarantine (locked in a hotel room in a hotel designated by a Thai hospital for 10 days)?
I'm boosted, now suppose someone on the plane near me tests positive, and I test negative. Do I still have to be quarantined for 10 days because I “have been in contact”? Ditto for your hotel, or somewhere in a restaurant where you are registered? By the way, do you have to register with a restaurant?
And then there is the question of whether the mandatory Thailand App also has a function (just like the NL App Coronamelder) that monitors and registers your contacts (and therefore you during a contact investigation of someone you have had contact with and who tests positive, maybe have to quarantine)?
I am curious, because this does have an impact on a possible decision to travel for a holiday to Thailand.

Our situation is now: me and my son have a positive test and are in isolation in a hospitel (hospital designated hotel ward with medical checks) for 10 days. My husband and other son were negative and have to quarantine for 14 days in the hotel where we are staying, with a new PCR test on day 7. If positive they also have to go to the hospital, if negative they have to be quarantined for another 7 days. We have the Mor Chana app, which is comparable to the Corona Check App in the Netherlands. You must upload your test result yourself. I have uploaded my positive test and it is on "red". Although my husband is in close contact, he remains on "green" in that app and has not received a notification.

Which test did you upload? One of the mandatory tests of the Sandbox or Test & Go program or your own (home) test?
Do you have serious complaints or does it remain mild or asymptomatic?
Our 2nd PCR from Test&Go was positive. So I uploaded an official test with lab number. We have no complaints. Looking back, we had mild complaints after arriving in Thailand last week, especially a dry throat. But we thought that was due to the air conditioning that we had much too cold the first few days.

Regarding the MorChana app:
It works with buetooth and location determination, just like in the Netherlands.
I sometimes have that turned off at my own discretion because a virus is simply transmitted differently than a bluetooth signal behaves.
And you can turn it back on soon enough.
For example, we were recently at the 2nd PCR test in a room, albeit half outside, with all people who had complaints. Then I turn it off.
As I heard, you no longer have to stay in the hotel if there was an infected person on your plane with me in July 2021, that was still the case, see article.

“From what I have heard …” How accurate is what you have heard and what is your source?
