Dear readers,

I have type 2 diabetes mellitus. I try to follow my diet as closely as possible. I've been looking for oatmeal for a while. Does anyone here know if this is for sale in Thailand and where?

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Richard

In the larger supermarkets you often have an assortment of different types of breakfast cereals / cornflakes. 9/10 products contain added sugars. But there are always some without useless additions. And where can you find these shops? Have a look at the makro/big-c/tesco lotus.

    Richard,

The Tesco Lotus Express also sells these. From the McGarrett brand, a blue transparent bag. I eat it daily, without additives.

Look at the English texts on packaging: oatmeal = oatmeal.
Often only available in the larger supermarkets.

Karel, Rob and Ger-Korat Thank you very much. I had already found something but I didn't find pure oatmeal yet. Well, as Karel wrote, a lot with useless additions such as mixing with other grains and lots of sugars or sugar substitutes.

I always buy my oatmeal (oatmeal on the packaging) in Makro. They have different types. Was hard to find…..was with the soap products, really. But come on, now I don't have to look anymore.

At tesco Lotus and then you look at oats. That's the English word for oatmeal..

Now I understand why this oatmeal is so healthy. You burn a lot of calories by looking for it ;~)
But can you let me know if you found it? Because almost every 'healthy' breakfast product in Thailand has been made very sweet in recent decades. And for me those added sugars are not necessary at all (diabetic 3c pancreas).
    Success!

If you come or stay in Chiangmai or the surrounding area.
Then go to one of the Rimping supermarkets, also have a website.
These specialize in many types of farang food, from sauerkraut to bitterballen and even real Dutch cheese.
They also have the American Quaker oatsmeal

    JanBeute.

McGarrett Instant Oats product of Australia. I always buy a 1 kg bag with a blue label from Makro. You also have it in smaller packaging.

At the MAKRO you can buy -“Oats”- (oatmeal).
