Dear readers,

Have a visa “O” valid for 1 year, but must do a visa run every 90 days. Is it possible to do this by motorbike, as I have to drive about 50 km on highway 33 and in Thailand it is forbidden to ride a motorbike on a highway.

My intention is also to stay in Cambodia for a few days (3 to 4) and tour around there a bit.
My questions are:

  • Does anyone have experience doing this with a motorcycle?
  • How much does a visa cost to stay in Cambodia for a few days?
  • Is there another possibility to do a visa run from Pattaya by motorbike, without highways?

Thanks in advance for all the useful information.

Regards,

Raymond

    Raymond,

Road 33 is not a highway and can also be used by motorcycle.
There are beautiful roads inland. Buy a road map. The map also shows the back roads if you buy a good map. That's how I picked it out. a little self-work can't hurt.

    Hello jack,

Just go to Immigration in Soi 5 for a 90 day overstay.
Some say it can, some say it doesn't.
I think it's worth at least trying.

    Good luck6!
    Best regards. Bz

Hi Raymond, what the heck is a “moto”. I may seem stupid now, but if I don't ask I will remain stupid. Gr. Paul

Abbreviation MOTORbike? Nowadays it is quite normal to abbreviate everything. A disaster for the language, of course.

Simple: is the French word often used in Flanders for 'motorcycle', la moto!

    Hi Raymond,

you can apply for a cambodia visa via the internet, takes approx. 3 days, costs +/- 30 dollars.

then you can enter Cambodia via Piopet, don't know how it is with temporary import of your motorcycle.

You can also just buy a visa on arrival at the border, both are valid for 30 days.

    greeting.
