Home » Reader question » Reader question: Departure times of direct bus from Pattaya to Hua Hin?
Dear readers,
I am looking for direct bus departure times to travel from Pattaya to Hua Hin.
Earlier on Thailand blog, 3 times a day, but I can only find the departure time of 18.00 pm, but I think that is too late to arrive in Hua Hin.
If there is not a direct VIP bus from Pattaya to Hua hin several times a day, what is the best solution to travel from Pattaya and arrive in Hua Hin a little on time? If possible with departure times and places, we are 4 people that is too much in a taxi. A minivan is too dangerous for me.
Many thanks to all who respond.
Best regards,
jacqueline
Dear Jacqueline,
3 times a day ? Where did you read this?
I think the new direct bus only runs once a day and the departure is at 1100 both from Pattaya and Hua Hin.
Count about 5-6 hours and you will be in Hua Hin around 1600-1700.
New Direct Transfer between Pattaya – Hua Hin starts on Dec 1st, 2015 (Announced on Nov 5, 2015)
Starting from December 1st, 2015, we will have a direct transfer between Pattaya to Hua Hin once a day. A schedule is as follows:
Travel time is estimated to be 5-6 hours or longer depending on traffic.
Pattaya – Hua Hin (Fare: THB 400/person)
Departs: 11:00 AM Boarding Time: 10:45 AM Boarding Point: Pattaya Bus Station
Drop off Point: 1. Cha-am Intersection (Bus stop at Bangkok Bank)
2. Dusit Thani Hua Hin
3.Hua Hin Bus Station

Thanks Ronny , I could only find the YELLOW bus service and it leaves at 18.00pm.
This is exactly the info I was looking for,
Kind regards, Jacqueline
I agree with Ronny about the VIP bus.
There is also a direct minibus service to Hua Hin every 2 hours, but you do not want this.
Alternatively, there is the bus from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi airport (every hour) with a transfer to the bus from the airport to Hua Hin (every 2 hours). Reservations possible via the Bell Travel Services website.
A ferry connection is also planned, but only within a number of years.
