I am leaving for Thailand in December and will be staying in Korat for the first time. Can anyone recommend a transfer service for the transfer from Suvarnabhumi airport to Korat? And does anyone know if Grab taxi is available in Korat?

Yes Grab is available in Korat.

I live in Khorat and we have been using Mekhe for years, when my family comes to visit they also use it to their full satisfaction.
You will pay about THB 3000 to Khorat from the airport for a standard car.
You can also make it a little more luxurious for a few hundred bath.
Great English speaking drivers and brand new cars, Grab in Khorat of course.
