Reader question: Renew Thai driver's license
Dear readers,
My brother got his Thai driver's license two years ago, but since it was only valid for 2 years the first time. For your information: my brother comes to Thailand for a month twice a year and has his own home here in Thailand. He must therefore renew this driver's license next December.
My question now is whether he needs to be in possession of a non-immigrant o visa again for this or can he do that extension with a regular 30-day visa waiver on entry?

I have never had a yellow tabian job and have had my Thai driver's license for about 5 years now with retirement visa.
You do not need a so-called Yellow Tabian Job at all to obtain a Thai driver's license.
Non-immigrant visa is sufficient. Have had a Thai driver's license for 40 years and never had such a bookie.
Required documents state passport + copy of passport with the visa.
Furthermore, the same documents are required as for the application for the first 2-year driving license
