Thailand question: KLM very difficult to reach
Dear readers,
I booked a ticket to Bangkok with KLM and accidentally mentioned my call sign instead of my name as it appears in my passport. According to the KLM website, this can be adjusted if you contact them. And that's where the shoe pinches. They are absolutely inaccessible to mu. Tried by phone, but you get a tape and after waiting a while you are thrown out of the queue. I tried it via whatsapp but then you get a standard text, the same applies to messenger.
Anyone have an idea how I can get in touch with KLM?
Regards,
Ed
Editors: Do you have a question for the readers of Thailandblog? Use it contact form..
They sometimes want to respond via Facebook messenger, but that is not very fast either.
The only way I succeeded is to choose the English route in the menu. You will then get someone on the phone who only speaks English and no Dutch, but if that is not a problem for you I would try that.
my experience with Whatsapp is fine provided that all data and your question are used correctly and fully in 1 go, then it will be fine. It may indeed take a while (a few hours) before you receive an answer. telephone also works for me, but also there 'just a little' patience.
I would try both again. Good luck. Evert-Jan
I just called KLM, no problem at all, an employee within 3 minutes. +31 20 47 47 747
Here is a second number 020-649-91-23 available from 7.30 am.
Dear Ed,
This also happened to me once, but I only found out at the time of check-in unfortunately.
Was arranged within five minutes, a new and correct ticket was created for me free of charge. But I can imagine that you want to get it right before then.
It is a pity that such a renowned company as KLM is so difficult to reach.
Gr. Wim.
I just called just in Dutch
After no more than 4 minutes I got to speak to someone. Just good help.
Would just try again.
Confirm the incredible inaccessibility of KLM. Talk about an experience at the end of August. Simply inaccessible along all communication routes. If you are a Flying Blue member, you will receive a special telephone number in case of poor accessibility, as I was told during my fruitless attempts. Automatic message. If you use that you will be referred to an assistance desk at Schiphol!! Just crappy accessibility. Apparently for a long time.
I had the same problem, I tried to call for 2 days but it didn't work. If you call immediately in the morning, you have the best chance of getting someone on the line and it also helps if you choose English instead of Dutch.
have your ticket changed at the airport with your name from your passport, costs are around 35 euros, I also had it three years ago.
Get to the airport on time!!
