Home » Reader question » Thailand question: Hotels without Indians in Pattaya?
Dear readers,
I want to book a hotel in Pattaya for 2 weeks, but a bit central. Now I don't want the hotel to be full of Indians. I don't discriminate but it's too loud for me. I also don't feel like booking 1 night and then possibly looking further, because then I have to drag my suitcase again and my back is bad.
I've already emailed some hotels, but I'm not getting any response. I also understand that if I book an expensive 5 star hotel there will be no Indians, but I don't have the money for that.
Does anyone have a tip?
Regards,
Wolter

No hotel can guarantee that there are no Indians. Even in 5 star hotels people from India have money. What you can do is book a guesthouse with a European owner. But I doubt whether you will find peace with an English owner. Maybe you can send Nieuw Vlaanderen an email with this question.
I always go to Sanya Apartments, very central, no problems with Indians, can book in the Netherlands near the beach and nightlife, take a look at the website. www.sanya-apartements.com, good luck.
Well Walter,
You will be surprised how high the percentage of Indians is in expensive 5-star hotels!
There are many rich Indians who can afford that, but I doubt whether they are the trouble makers.
I like to stay in D'Hotel … Located in a dead end street on Soi Bua Khao. Three star hotel with the allure of four stars!
If you walk out of the alley, you can enjoy a nice meal at Nida and otherwise go shopping to the right at a 7/11! Oh, and there are also two Laudry's opposite the hotel!
D Hotel Pattaya (SHA Plus+)
41/29 M.9 Soi Buakhao, Central Pattaya, Pattaya, Thailand, 20150
Yes, agree. Nice hotel, top location, nice and fresh and tidy.
Never seen an Indian there.
I am going to Lek Villa on Naklua road. This hotel is located about 250 meters from the dolphin roundabout and terminal 21. Standard room is large and breakfast has more than enough choice. Big swimming pool. Several restaurants nearby. This hotel is not centrally located but easy to reach with songthaew. This was so early 2020 as well as in 2019 and 2018. Haven't been to Thailand due to corona.
Whether they are Indians or any other nationality... as soon as people in larger numbers and belonging to the same group stay together... you may experience noise pollution. Cfr Mathieu VDP in Australian hotel during the Road World Championships.
Maybe Airbnb is an idea?
Or else divide it into 2 weeks. Book a hotel for 1 week and if you like it, book it right away.
If you don't like it, you have a week to look at something else in the area.
Amethyst hotel! Central. Nice rooftop pool. Spacious beautiful rooms. Everything new. Various nationalities!
Moderator: Please answer only the question.
Dear Wolter, take a look back at thailand blog of May 4, it says that 600.000 are expected in Pattaya this year, so the chance that you will not see an Indian in a hotel seems nil to me.
Somehow I see humor in your question, because you say that Indians are noisy.
Last time I was in Pattaya Nov 2022 my indian neighbor said we had a room on the wrong side of the hotel. Our side had a lot of noise in the evening from bars with live bands.
A side street of Soi Buakhao and a great hotel called Nalanta, nice and central. booked by me through Agoda at the time. book on time because they are often already full. (says enough) Good luck!
