Thailand question: Would you like tips for restaurants and coffee in Jomtien/Pattaya?
Dear readers,
Soon I will go to Jomtien again. I love Thai cuisine, but on my last visit, some of my favorite restaurants and coffee shops were gone. I especially like curries such as paneng, green curry and massaman, but they are not prepared equally well everywhere. I like eating in Jomtien at Aroi Dee (next to immigration) and Natan. Who has suggestions for other restaurants in Jomtien or Pattaya that serve good Thai food?
Finding a good cup of coffee is also sometimes a challenge. I can't say that the coffee served in most places makes me very happy. Also for that like tips for Jomtien and Pattaya.
Any suggestion is welcome. Thank you in advance!
Regards,
Kees

For a nice cup of coffee with possibly. delicious apple pie or something like that you have to be in Jomtien Soi 7. Gerrit's coffee shop is located on the corner of Second Road. Great coffee, good atmosphere and wide choice of homemade pastries at very reasonable prices.
No thanks Kees 1 time had coffee there never again.
hahaha, tastes differ. For me, always looking for a good cup of coffee and so far often have to rely on a 7 eleven with a good bean machine.
At the market at the beginning or end (depending on how you look at it) of Soi Buakhao you have Benjamin, who has a delicious (pastry) tray. The disadvantage is that you have to be there sooner or later otherwise the places are occupied, due to fear of failure and they take forever with a cup of coffee….
Of course I mean falang, but yes that spell check….
Scents and flavors differ. I also like the dishes you mention. Personally I really like the Thai dishes at Cheap Charlies located soi Bukhao in Pattaya. Panang, just like the chicken cashew nuts, is delicious.
There is also an eatery just opposite the Yes o'tel also on soi Bukhao where I think they also serve very nice Thai food. Dirt cheap but very good. Chicken with chilli paste is my favorite.
But there are so many more, one better than the other.
On the corner of Thepprasit, Soi 11, a small coffee shop (sorry can't remember the name) where the coffee is just as good as Starbucks but not nearly as expensive. As a sign of recognition: on the other corner is a Durian shop.
In Jomtien complex opposite the French bakery you have “Meetingplace”. They make great coffee there!
What is very good coffee is inthanin don't know if it is available in Pattaya/jomtien, can get it all over the south
Exit Soi 5 to second road, next to the Rompho market (left) is Kiss Food & Drinks. Excellent food (been there yesterday), hygienic and very affordable.
For Thai food try Mr Moo, the street behind the market. Delicious and not expensive. Or a fifteen minute walk to the Colosseum market.
Enjoy!
I think Amazon cafe still has one of the best coffees. There are quite a few in both Jomtien and Pattaya.
Nice cup of coffee and cake….soi excite bake n' brew.
